pb2047 is a concept album set in the year 2047, one hundred years after the partition of punjab. imagined from within that future moment, it unfolds around a group of musicians attempting to survive the punjab they have inherited.

at the centre of the album is jugni, a traditional folk device historically used for spiritual and social commentary. in pb2047, jugni becomes a catalytic presence that unsettles the ordinary.
